Being hacked used to be expensive. Now it’s cheap.
Breaking into one person’s life used to take a skilled team weeks. Now software does most of it, for almost nothing, all the time. HARD exists so that when someone tries, it doesn’t work.
Why HARD exists.
For most of the internet’s history, very few people were worth the trouble. Someone had to study you, find a weak point and build a way in. Being hard to reach was a kind of protection.
That protection is going. AI writes the convincing text, clones the voice, builds the fake sign-in page and does the research on you, in seconds. When an attempt costs almost nothing, everyone with something worth taking gets tried, and keeps getting tried.
Companies answered this years ago with security teams: people who know every system, watch it overnight and take the call when something breaks. Families got an antivirus licence and a password manager. Each guards a single door, and none of them picks up the phone.
The long version is in our essay, Everyone will be hacked.
Who it’s for.
People with something worth taking, and the people they look after.
Your Mac, iPhone and browser, watched all day. Scam checks, fake sites stopped, updates ranked by real attacks.
PersonalUp to six people, with HARD codes between everyone so a cloned voice gets nowhere.
FamilyScammers go after people with savings who are too polite to hang up. Run HARD for them, with their agreement, and hear about what matters.
Managed accountsEveryone who can approve a payment or open an attachment, priced per person.
HARD BusinessFamilies, family offices and executives, with a senior engineer of their own.
HARD OperatorHow it works.
Software for everyone, people at the top.
- An app that watchesHARD lives on your Mac and iPhone and in your browser. You shouldn’t have to think about it. It steps in before a scam can move a cent, and only asks for you when something matters.
- The attack, not your lifeHARD looks for what’s used against people: fake sites, scam calls and texts, cloned voices, and software with holes attackers are already using. What it finds stays on your devices unless you choose to send it.
- Your whole homeFrom your Mac, HARD checks everything else on your Wi-Fi: the router, the TV, the cameras and the printer.
- People at the topOn HARD Operator, a named senior engineer sees what HARD sees across your household, and acts on it, at any hour. They secure each home’s network too: the router, the Wi-Fi, a separate network for smart devices, and filtering.
How we write.
Sourced, plain English, and what to do about it.
The journal, alerts and advisories are written from public reporting and checked against the sources, which are linked at the end of every piece. We say what happened, who it affects and what to do, in words anyone can follow.
When HARD warns you about an update, it links to the same plain-English advisory, with the evidence behind it: how many known flaws a version has, and whether attackers are using them, from CISA, Apple and Google. Anyone can check a product against CISA’s list on the lookup.
We send alerts only when something serious happens. No fear for its own sake, and no newsletter padding.
Who makes HARD.
An Australian company, working worldwide.
HARD is made by FLINDEV PTY LTD, trading as HARD. The apps, the extension and this site are built in-house. HARD works wherever you are, and HARD Operator covers homes in any country.

It isn’t really a question of whether someone will try. It’s when, and whether anyone is there when they do.
